1. The "Right Part" Guarantee

At Second Gear, we want you to purchase with confidence. If you receive a part based on a specific recommendation from our support team and it is incompatible with your equipment, we will provide a prepaid return shipping label and issue a full refund.

2. Return Window

We offer a 30-day return window to ensure you have ample time to inspect your purchase.

  • Standard Parts: Returns must be initiated within 30 days of the delivery date.

  • Power Equipment: Large equipment (Mowers, Snow Blowers, Chainsaws) must be returned within 30 days of delivery due to specialized shipping regulations.

3. Return Conditions

To qualify for a full refund, items must be returned in their original, sellable condition:

  • Items must be in the original manufacturer packaging.

  • Items must not have been installed, mounted, or used.

  • No Restocking Fees: We do not charge restocking fees for items returned in new, unused condition.

4. Non-Returnable Items

Per safety and regulatory guidelines, the following items are not eligible for return:

  • Fueled Equipment: Any machine that has been filled with gasoline or oil cannot be shipped back due to Federal Hazmat Regulations. If your equipment has been fueled and is experiencing issues, please contact us to locate an authorized service center.

  • Electrical Components: Open electrical parts (Coils, Starters, Solenoids, Switches) are non-returnable. Defects are covered under our Warranty section.

  • Gaskets & Seals: These items cannot be returned once the protective seal or packaging has been opened.

5. Damaged or Defective Items

  • Shipping Damage: Please report any items damaged during transit within 3 business days of delivery. We will provide a replacement and a prepaid return label for the damaged item.

  • Manufacturer Defects: Parts that fail after installation are covered under the manufacturer’s warranty. Second Gear will assist you in processing these claims to secure a replacement.

6. Return Process

To initiate a return, please follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your account and navigate to your order history.

  2. Select the item(s) you wish to return and submit a request.

  3. An RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number will be sent to your email.

Shipping Responsibilities:

  • Defective or Error on Our Part: Second Gear provides a prepaid shipping label at no cost to you.

  • Standard Returns (Change of Mind): The customer is responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using a trackable shipping service.

7. Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected (typically within 2 business days), we will process a refund to your original payment method. Please allow 3–5 business days for the credit to appear on your bank statement.
